hi all,   we created custom map on bc use lat , long point place on map. however, in case of long island result goes middle of sea. ideas on how rectify this?   thanks. bc generates lat , long address , zip code fields.  these aren't accurate i've found.  basically, when save web app item, bc goes out geocoding service , submits address , zip code , in return latitude , longitudes.  i'm not sure if it's geocoding service or bc accuracy questionable, in opinion.  if can, double check address info correct.  if using 5 digit zip codes, try longer zip codes areas have accuracy issues.   if still run problems, suggest creating custom latitude , longitude field in web app , roll own google maps implementation.  in javascript should check custom lat , long first , use plot addresses , if don't find custom latitude , longitude pass address information google maps' geocoding service accurate plot points on custom rolled google map.   i've had s...

this problem has been plaguing me since moved cs6 64-bit (on windows 7 machine). i've seen in illustrator:   seemingly randomly once or twice week, click on ai file in windows explorer open it, , illustrator crash desktop. there no consistency files i've been able find. local hard drive, , on network. file i've opened several times same day or file haven't opened in months. restart illustrator , everything's fine— can access file, no problem.   the trait have sussed out seems happen more if i've left computer idle 20 minutes or so, below sleep time-out hard drive. it's illustrator doesn't know how wait file if file isn't available. i got problem saving fla file in flash cc. i edited code -> crtl + s save -> ctrl + enter build -> close swf -> close fla file -> re-open saved fla file -> edited code disappear   here code: - before edited: count = number(gettimer()-starttime) - after edited: count = totaltime  -  number(gettimer()-starttime)   after saving , reopen --> displayed before edited .   it not happen times, critical these minor changes. same problem? is code in fla or in class file? how use print module set large photo printed lab , not home printer?  see options little home printer in page setup.  want print 16 x 20 picture. unless want text added photo should not use print module that. use export dialog create jpg (or tiff if lab accepts that), 8-bit (not 16-bit) best in adobe rgb color space (most accepted - unless lab wants srgb). specify size of 16 x 20 (you might have crop image ratio first) @ 300 ppi.   this export create duplicate of original image (in specified file format, size, etc) lr develop edits written image pixels. send file lab.   if want text on image, create text overlay in print module , select <print file> creates jpg can give lab. every night @ stroke of midnight, computer starts working hard. fans @ max, hard drive spinning, lasts 30 seconds. it's noisier when i'm using during day. wakes me every night, time turn on monitor, open terminal , see what's running, it's over. heck it? , how can figure out without staying ambush it? i know dmesg command spits out latest events. maybe change time 12:00 right , see output is. else got idea? i know belongs in incopy forum, indesign forum seems more traffic. id/ic cs6 (fully patched) os 10.6.8 i have upgraded cs6 , weird issue has come up. when export stories incopy, of files getting both regular "story available" icon , smaller icon behind it: "story checked out" icon.   this not case there 2 stories stacked on top of each other. there 1 text frame in screen shot above. if drag frame, "checked out" icon moves frame, appears elsewhere on page (not connected frame, floating!) i have tried clearing preferences, round-tripping file through idml, unlinking re-exporting incopy files, double adornment remains. the adornment remains (doesn't change icons) if check story out, or have else on network check out. main adornment changes expected, however. i should note these files converted cs5, not created natively in cs6. doesn't happen every file export, 10%. if double-adornment occurs @ all, occurs on stories/frames in document. it doesn't ...
