okay, had problem while installing, fixed it. connected laptop television, screen super dark, backlight turned off. literally cannot see on screen without holding flashlight it. burned disc @ slowest possible speed allowed isorecorder, x2. here computer's specs: acer aspire 5336-2524. processor intel celeron 900 ~2.2ghz 3.072 gbs ram graphics chip 4 series express chipset family approximately 1.308 gbs of memory on it need urgently, bought computer use on go, , carrying around entertainment center not call portable. edit: i'm running 32-bit ubuntu downloaded straight ubuntu website. edit 2: i'm having problem installing google chrome on ubuntu 11.10 32-bit, software center says can't opened. maybe post has solution you: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1742352 Forum The Ubuntu Forum Community Ubuntu Official Flavours Support

in windows c++ use (findfirst + findnext) recursively list (patterned) files in directory. having found linux doco seems 1) use (opendir readdir closedir) read names , fnmatch() reject , recurse. work slow. 2) ftw file tree walk (recurse) has no pattern matcher built in. 3) fts has no patten matcher. 4) glob asserts greater efficiency. no built in recursion. call glob twice. once "*" directories.once "*.cpp" files. each time (directory or file) compares must made (after using glob_mark). seems slower others. 5) 1 exec ls, or don't know yet. if no recursion needed using glob seems best. if recursion needed using fts appears best. guesswork. can tell me if analysis flawed. there thing else better ?? why doesnt glob recurse bitflag don't know ?? code: #ifndef _view_h #define _view_h #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <sys/type

greetings all.   pe4 has been crash-happy on machine, specs of list:   cpu: intel core 2 duo @2.66ghz ram: 4gb ddr2 os: win7 x64 service pack graphics card: nvidia geforce gt 520 (2gb) harddrive: 1tb (seagate, think...could western digital) 645gb free space   from threads i've read, i've seen nvidia cards can cause problems adobe software, part of general crash problem. driver latest (updated today, 7/3/13.)   anyway, i've begun encountering problem 33-minute-long animated film i've been editing in pe4. movie has lot of material on timeline because animated video clips split freeze frames in post-production sync footage dialog, , there bunch of short sound effect clips on top of plus music. total, have 2 video tracks , 8 audio tracks. published movie mpeg computer last night , afternoon, burned few dvds of finished project. when reached point 13 minutes film, speakers on tv emitted horrid screaching noise lasted 2 seconds. in film, .wmv clip playing ambient sound effect
