hi! i've got problem: work in room 20 pc's. of them have lubuntu 11.10 installed. use ldap authenticating against server, on wich every user's home find. so, clients pc's authenticate against server, , load home server. now, when had ubuntu 10.04, ok, now, it's impossible work non local users. nfs fails , user must wait forever, , when home loaded, work extremly slow!! local users don't have problem. if uninstall nfs , log in local users, goes well. did not happen before updated 11.10. noticed on 10.04, there package named nfs-client, 11.10, there not such package. now, there nfs-common. don't know touch optimize this. problem nfs. ldap ok! there traffic on net? how can know? if me, please, appreciate!! in advance!!! not sure what's going on, have same setup. 10 clients running nfs home directories. seem run fine. clients run ubntu 11.10 updates. server ubuntu server 11....

this driving me absolutely nuts. i'm working in fireworks on daily basis , use symbols lot. ever since last update fireworks cs6, every time copy state, doesn't copy symbols well.   if symbol grouped (whether other elements, or not), symbol gets copied.   it's been pain these past days work around issue. when searching forums, discovered nobody else seems have problem, maybe did wrong? can help? same issue here.  didn't realize symbol issue until read post.  had share layers across states that's not need.  doubt there's fix coming adobe time soon, fingers crossed.  didn't have issue cs6 had on machine.  i'll use workaround of grouping symbol. hi everyone, have media centre running ubuntu 10.4 files on portable hard drive i'm trying share on network using samba. set , seemed work fine, own laptop can find ubuntu machine on network, , access shared folders. when other people try access using windows laptops doesn't work. when click on network can find computer, , can see shared folders. when try open 1 of shared folders error: "network error windows cannot access \\computername\sharename check spelling of name. otherwise, there might problem netowrk. try identify , resolve network problems, click diagnose." diagnose predictably unhelpful. oddly can access shared folder that's on hard drive ubuntu on, not shared folders on portable hard drive. ideas problem here? why work 1 laptop , not others? there files should post here figure out problem is? in advance of guys. bob ...

i returning working in indesign book project after year. now, rusty. can't remember many things knew when working on last october. 1 of things can't remember thing section starts. in example below, there little black triangle @ page 100 , @ page 110. bot starts of sections of book. have inserted spreads 108-109 , 112-113 , want same 'start' on page 108 starting new (extra)  'chapter' of book there.   wen right-click page 108 , select 'numbering & section' options , a  new section, warning:   and @ loss now.   can me rememberhow worked or point me 'refresher info' need? that means you've got same "logical" page number assigned more once (not uncommon when restrting numbering) , you've used same numbering style in both sections. typically htis handled changing numbering style (i.e. use small roman numberals front matter , arabic numbers body).   what's reason wanting start new section? the  things can in numbering , sect...

i have upgraded lightroom 5. when try export large number (about 60) images jpg, error message "attempt index nil value" , images not export. when view images in library , export them individually, export works. so conclude images not corrupt, there bug in software. i see there number of other reports of error on forum, no replies, adobe staff or other members. i'm having same problem lightroom 5.  never had prior versions lightroom 2 , i've exported many more photos.    i don't know if it's related i'm getting mesage states i'm trying create jpg smaller lr can create of photos.  got exported increasing export file size limit. whilst current known bug unity , java sorted (hopefully fixed 12.04) decided use gnucash moneydance had unstable issues ubuntu after introduction of unity. wanted gnucash in earlier years @ time there no gnucash windows. it's there windows thought things sorted , share account data friends, irrespective of operating system used. loaded fine, , behaviour perfect. when drop ubuntu 11.10 oneiric, grip bars not adjust panels can't see info want. handles appear, drag them on whoosh let go jump back. understand gnucash likes updated, , should updated. have latest file called: gnucash_2.4.10-1_amd64.deb. how proceed, , might existing gnucash files in /etc unsure going ahead. advice appreciated. 1 way or another, annoying thing keeps taking me windows , love ubuntu. regards, john ps: ridiculously wide screenshot of see in ubuntu attached. attached images ...

hello,   i'm using adobe dreamweaver cs5, , wondering if there way (preference option, extension, plugin, etc.) display indentation visual markers in code view.   i'm not sure how describe it, other editors, such sublime 2 text editor have them (google image search sublime 2).   code window has vertical dotted lines line nested tags, know if indented them properly. i'm hoping dreamweaver has similar?   thanks help! you can hit commands > apply source formatting indented per current settings in edit > tag libraries.
