Thread: apt-offline virtualbox-4.1 dependancy nightmare!

hi,

i'm trying install virtualbox-4.1 on offline headless ubuntu 11.10 server , after hours , hours of trying different approaches, still can't working.

apt-get -d isn't working right ubuntu box internet connection 32bit not amd64 server is. same problem aptoncd.

trying download dependencies , dpkg -i manually isn't getting anywhere, dependencies have dependencies! apt-cdrom add original install cd, getting no where.

apt-offline looks approach want, apt-offline set vbox-offline.sig --install-packages virtualbox-4.1 --src-build-dep --install-src-packages virtualbox-4.1 fails 'virtualbox-4.1' has no install candidate. adding virtualbox deb repo sources.list , running apt-offline update/upgrade cycle doesn't seem add virtualbox-4.1 apt-cache.

synaptic generate download script not because i'm running headless, no gui.

keryx seems gui well.

appreciated! basically, how run dpkg -i virtualbox-4.1, save list of dependencies (and dependencies) apt-get upgrade, run apt-offline set generate sig need can apt-offline on online box?

how badly want virtualbox?

i've wondered same thing time myself- command line version of synaptic's download scripts.
i'm not knowledgeable, dependencies lacking dependencies, may have figure out dependent packages each dependent package, can time consuming, possibly way.
also, before else, run

code:
sudo apt-get install -f  sudo apt-get clean
to clean out package system of partially installed packages, etc.

"Could not fill because there are not enough opaque source pixels" - not solved by any other thread

i'm getting error posted in thread's title , have no idea why.  working image not transparent in way. 100% opacity.  in fact, doesn't matter work with, every time try fill selection on layer in doc, error.  ideas???  thanks   scott probably see screen shot of photoshop layers panel open. at point guess can make wrong layer selected, once see screen, else may pop out @ me, or else reading thread. Why can't I change the billing info for my account?

hi all,   about 3 weeks ago issued new corporate cc number. have been trying since find way update in website. everytime try load billing info message 'there has been error on our side, please try again later.' has been happening weeks now. decided, if they're not going fix it, i'll call support.   i reported bug support, no response.   i called support , sat on hold update cc. hung on when should have been answered. happened twice (i'm persistent).   i registered call-back. got call-back, , told needed go person. got warm transfer because of above problem.   this person told me needed talk yet different team, , schedule call me in 1-2 hours.   it has been on week, maybe week , half since supposed receive call-back, , ticket updated yesterday; they've tried reach me no success (yeah, right), them do? left note: call me @ number within next 4 hours, , can settle this. guess got pacific time support team, because called 16 hours later (i'm gmt, way; company u...
