hi all,   i experiencing slow gui refresh rate using premiere elements 10. has been happening since first started using program, using bit more , it's starting frustrate me. basically, open program , create new project, action changes screen e.g. maximising, resizing timeline, changing timeline scale etc. occurs slowly. example, maximising window takes approximately 4 seconds complete, , resizing timeline laggy.   it shown reasonably in following clip, although more pronounced me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8c7gbqxir8o&feature=youtu.be   this issue has been discussed in few other questions, none resolved issue (that have found) or have kind of gone off topic, thought ask myself in effort resolve it.   a couple of points note: occurs without video loaded i.e. empty project. hi, have set session timout within administration, session settings 20 minutes.  because of pressure on our licences , not want learners online learning lessons open if inactive.  had hoped after 20 minutes of no activity connect log them out , release licence pool.  setting doesn't seem anything.  have left lesson open on pc hour , when return still allows me continue it.  can help? hi carolyn,   session timeout means logged out of webapp after said number of minutes passes. let's if session timeout set 20 minutes , left connect webapp open 25 minutes without activity, on clicking on tab, lets home tab in webapp, asked login again.   problem facing other users dont logged out if have opened training/course after 20 minutes of inactivity. wont happen. impact session timeout happen after said minutes of inactivity users tracking wont done, quiz results after session timeout wont tracked. un-prefetched slides of pptx wont fetched , on. user wont asked ...

i'm using gettext method, retrieving text, word word, pdf. i'm running 2 problems, both relate gettext treating hyphens punctuation, not text.   if source text in document contains date in form 30-jun-2013, gettext returns 30jun2013   if source text contains negative number, example, -90.20, gettext returns 90.20. similarly, source text of -$90.20 returned 2 text items, first $, 90.20   i'm using vba within access db read pdfs , populate data within database tables.   does know how either set option have sdk treat hyphens part of word or alternative gettext routine accomplsih analogous? the vb apis don't provide access changing word definition.  can done using c/c++-based plugin apis.   alternatively, have acrobat save pdf text/xml/rtf/other document , parse that. how delete projects , auxillary files used in projects? in book , recommend that, whenever start new project, save project file in own seperate folder. then, deleting , auxiliary files simple deleting folder.   if didn't that, you'll need digging.   inside directory folder you've saved project file to, you'll find sub folders called auto-save, preview files, encoded files , layouts. in each of these folders you'll find sub-folders or files named after project, can delete along original .prel files. in premiere cc:   if use wav or aif files (44.1 or 48) waveform display slow , appears after playing music track and step step.   importing compressed file , waveform immediatly there.   what can do?   edit: same problem recorded voice on tracks... i saw similar on system video clip.  thumbnail revealed cti played on clip.  suspect pp focusing resources on playback , leaving 'display' secondary concern.  once stopped playback other thumbnails drew instantly. something bit peculiar going on here.  i've been using cc since before 'cc'.  mean before tools took on sobriquet.   so "creative cloud installer", called "adobe application manager" installed quite herd of tools months ago. far know showed on windows unintaller tool... this isn't security issue per se, seems people understand ssh found in forum, here am. running gromacs 4.5.4, package molecular simulations. 1 of ubuntu's supported packages. have 2 nearly-identical computers, amd six-core machines both running ubuntu 11.10 x86_64. gromacs has multiprocessing-aware version (also on ubuntu's supported software list) uses open mpi communicate between cpu's. have been using multi-cpu version of gromacs on single machine while now. i'm trying harness second machine on ethernet. in other words, i'm trying set little cluster. according open mpi documentation, need working ssh connection between master machine , slave machines. have installed openssh-server package on slave machine. followed directions here set public encryption key. once got set up, tried running gromacs-mpi once, crashed. figured should go basics, , test whether ssh connection working. can log in slave machine shell u...

hi all, i,m quite new using ubuntu & linux.for making usb-serial port accessible via fixed name tried put rules file in /etc/udev/rules.d directory.the rule not written in correct syntax. after file addition system fails boot in either normal or recovery modes.i tried delete file in windows xp using ext2fsd,but comes message 'media write protected' though i've given option of write enable in mount point options. seems ubuntu installation lost me. request please help. thnx ashwani are able remove file booting ubuntu (or other live) cd? can assume have write issues due xp driver. hi, installed lr4 found out release of lr5, did not use pending free upgrade adobe, have downloaded. haven't established catalogue in lr4 yet, should uninstall previous version, or upgraded version automatically so?  apologies simple question, information on web ambiguous.   lr4 , l5 independent programs.you can either leave lr4 installed,   if have use or, remove it.   if uninstall lr4 before installing lr5, prompted lr4 serial number, in addition, lr 5 serial number. i've got project 4 times year in framemaker , have converted files indesign add more design appeal them. in framemaker files setup using tabs , created running excel files through script in visual basic create .mml files. these files imported framemaker , come in 98% formatted. i'd same in indesign, if possible, , keep excel files linked , have them maintain same formatting.   but not sure if can keep them setup tabs or have put them in table format.   or if have start scratch, placing 107 individual excel files , setting table styles , having them updated each time.   they pages simple , have no more 8-10 styles used. advice may have me appreciated.   or method i'd open hearing too.   thanks,   peter   i have tried placing , linking couple of excel files, brings in of formatting need. when try making change excel file , update link cell formatting (bottom cell insert) defaults original imported file.   this, after i've created paragraph, cell , t...

first should mention in post did vague understanding of i'm doing.   i imported .avi, plays fine everywhere else, , in playback in premiere , after exporting video glitches out frames mixed lasting full second overlayed on other frames. i'm sure there's word that. audio flawless, though.   so did googling around , found might due missing codec, , after downloading g spot , analyzing file said missing microsoft video 1 codec required it. after more googling , installing every codec pack wasn't filled malware, came across ffdshow decoder, ran , used enable aforementioned codec in both video decoder , vfw configuration. thought surely take care of , booted premiere again, after import video still glitching.   here's g spot , ffdshow right now-     and again, know these things mean on superficial level if have fancier check box use talking-to-an-old-person version.   and if question has been answered somewhere haven't come across after hour , hundred tabs of se...
