Thread: faulty rules file ruins system


hi all,
i,m quite new using ubuntu & linux.for making usb-serial port accessible via fixed name tried put rules file in /etc/udev/rules.d directory.the rule not written in correct syntax.
after file addition system fails boot in either normal or recovery modes.i tried delete file in windows xp using ext2fsd,but comes message 'media write protected' though i've given option of write enable in mount point options.
seems ubuntu installation lost me.

request please help.

are able remove file booting ubuntu (or other live) cd? can assume have write issues due xp driver.
