Thread: How to show root at login in Ubuntu 12.04


hi guys,

don't if it's legal in forum ask question it's simple question , it's how make root appear during login?

did whole lot of searching today , got "you shouldn't login root","you shouldn't login root", "you shouldn't login root". it's frustrating. know shouldn't doesn't mean can't. isn't idea of free , open source software? strictly experimental purposes. no concerns if break something. want know config file edit , how go it. know how set root password. can't show root @ login. bdw, i'm using gnome desktop.

i'd appreciate help. thanks.

p.s. idea how enable "other" @ login well?
