i'm trying use image analysis functionality of ps cs6 obtain brightness levels image.   to test "gray value" measurment, i've created 11 patches 0%-100% in 10% increments. used fill tool (shift-f5) , specified values using h=0, s=0, b=<percentage_value (0-100)>.   the respective rgb components of generated patches expected (255*percentage_value).   the measurements obtained through "record measurement", however, not agree, exception of 0% , 100% extremes, reported 0 , 255, respectively.   inbetween, there disagreement rises 0 @ 0% highest (5 @ 50%) decrease again 0 @ 100%.   here series reported gray values low (from 0% - 100%): 0, 3, 3, 4 4, 5, 3, 3, 2, 1, 0.   how come?   i've tried removing colour profiles (to exclude gamma encoding issues) , using different colour spaces and/or models, no change in behaviour.   all patches pure gray there shouldn't problem unexpected colour weighting.   one funny observation i've made though patches...

i've got nvidia geforce 9800 gt has 2 dvi ports. until now, i've been running dvi cable monitor, fine. i'm throwing kvm in mix. long story short, need use kvm cable, vga cable. have vga dvi converter plug attach. post , bootup shows video fine, once login screen... nothing. no video source. know fix this? you have dvi-a-->vga adapter..the opposite not passive plug adapter.. 2 dvi outputs on video card might not same..one may dvi-d & other dvi-i. common on older cards saves ramdac. dvi-d has no vga output..& connector pin pattern different. nvidia x server runs/loads x starts not @ boot/greeter screens. other possibility: if driver can not detect monitor not activate output. kvm switch that's causing problem. nvidia driver can force display output on xorg.conf entries etc.. hi, let me give background. installed ubuntu 11.10 run in dual partition windows 7 on samsung rf511 (not sure how helps ) working fine until 1 day turned of graphics card , other silly stuff , had clean install windows on top. got ubuntu 11.10 cd (because grub bootloader wasn't there anymore) , upon installation clicked upgrade 11.10 11.10. issue touchpad mouse doesn't work , external usb mouse doesn't work either on log in screen or actual log in screen. ideas or should clean re-install of ubuntu. hallo, premiere elements 11 verweigert mir den upload von videos nach youtube, die länger als 15 minuten sind mit der fehlermeldung: "die videodauer überschreitet die vom zielort unterstützte maximale dauer. reduzieren sie die videodauer, und versuchen sie es erneut." in youtube steht allerdings bei "längere videos" : "du kannst jetzt videos hochladen, die länger als 15 minuten sind! i mentioned problem in discussion, didn't receive answer. i'm trying again... my problem created perfect circles in photoshop, on 1920 x1080(.png )file , integrated timeline. everything looks right , circles are  shaped. once file exported dvd/blu ray, circles become ellipsoidal , it's not acceptable. i tried "scale fit, stretch fill, scale fill" , got different levels of ellipses never perfect circle. as long read m2v file computer, it's ok. appears on tv screen (i mean on 3 different models of tvs): ellipse. the tv says 1920x1080, 16/9... now. picture read computer "underscan", have 2 (thin) horizontal  black bars (nothing cinema black bars) , no vertical bars, think normal since shows shapes correctly. in tv mode, appears zoomed should suspect verticals bit "over". designed circles, not eggs! maybe important mention, pc screen 40" toshiba tv vga input. possible don't see right thing in first place? my display shows 1920x1200 res...
