Thread: after upgrade to 11.04 "stopping automatic crash report generation" fails

hello everyone.

since i'm newbie here, installed old version of linux (9.10) on laptop, , decided follow dist upgrades used this.
so, after 2 successful upgrades, got issue: after upgrading 11.04 can no longer boot in "normal" mode.
when booting, error - "stopping automatic crash report generation" [fail]
funny thing when try boot "previous linux version", select same kernel (2.6.38-13-generic), though still see same error, i'm able boot os , login.
when boot older kernel, none of happens.

thoughts?

i big fan of doing fresh install rather successive upgrades. if have separate /home partition, shouldn't lose data. still, wise have backup: hard drives fail @ awkward time.

, i'm sorry, don't have clue actual question.
