Thread: Customize ISO (a bit) for use as live USB?
hello
i'm looking linux distro localized french use on usb keydrive daily use, ie. not alternative cd install linux on hard disk.
tried localized 11.10 ubuntu, used linuxlive usb creator 2.8.11 burn iso onto usb keydrive.
works fine, need change few items:
- after booting ubuntu, window displays prompt: "welcome : try ubuntu, install ubuntu", users find puzzling. can remove prompt?
- how remove "install ubuntu 11.10" shortcut in upper left-hand corner?
- can customize icon bar on left (unity?) rid of libreoffice , add couple of items of own (gparted, mono-based applet wrote, etc.)?
- can mount usb keydrive recover files hard disk (basic recovery disk)?
thank you.
