Thread: need help how to share folders between ubuntu & a networked laptop

hi,

have installed wireless router desktop ( has ubuntu 10.10 on ) , have laptop windows 7 networked it. know next nothing networking managed laptop , ubuntu desktop "share" folder on ubuntu desktop.

problem:
can move folder ( has sub-folders in ) home directory shared folder, when go try copy files shared folder windows laptop ( using laptop ), windows says need "computer's administrator make changes folder". if go shared folder on ubuntu desktop, go specific folder, , right click folder , check "share folder" , "allow others create...." , "guest access..." , "add permissions automatically" , can go laptop , copy files on laptop. problem there folders tons of sub-folders, of sub-folders sub-folders. how can note files placed in shared folder on ubuntu allowed sharing without having go , click every single folder?

thread moved networking & wireless.
