InDesign-CC: Selection Tools Not Working

i've downloaded indesign cc , having problem various selection tools.

 

with text selection tool active, double-click text frame , hold, , cursor placed on text inside frame. can no longer drag cursor highlight text.

 

when click again start highlighting text, text becomes inactive, text frame becomes active , attempt highlight drags frame. tool panel shows text selection tool still active.

 

once double click text frame, way can edit text use shift + arrows.

 

in preferences > type have enabled , disabled "triple click select line", there no change in behavior described above.

 

similarly, if switch hand tool , grab portion of page, frame happen on moves instead of page. grabbing on part of page there no frame nothing @ all.

 

in fact, behavior same no matter tool in toobar have active: rectangle tool not draw rectangle, moves text frame; same pencil tool, etc.

 

the document upgrade cs6, creating new document not change behavior.

i've followed instructions in troubleshooting 101: replace, or "trash" indesign preferences article <http://forums.adobe.com/thread/526990>, dleted indesign defaults file , restarted, has made no difference.

 

at point, id-cc thoroughly unusable.

 

running mac os 10.8.4, 16gigs ram.

i'm having same complaints. i've been using indesign since first version. i'm used being able bounce through 1 item next, moving, shifting, , intuitively designing before honing in on details. enjoy rapidly working in indesign. ("rapidly" being operative word).

 

this new cc makes virtually impossible.

 

every time try grab image or type element, solid selector tool should grab , allow me move rapidly. shifts hand tool!

it turns content tool.

 

i have lost literally hours tonight trying slog through mess.

 

i'll else:

 

i long time adobe fonts, illustrator, photoshop, etc., user.

 

from beginning. on mac.

 

give me intuitive ease of use. don't indesign acting microsoft office program! don't adobe programs icon heavy spend time trying guess icon for. hate windows products.

 

less way more when comes ease of use , ability work without process , application interjecting whole workflow.

 

 

please fix mess. thank you.

"Could not fill because there are not enough opaque source pixels" - not solved by any other thread

i'm getting error posted in thread's title , have no idea why.  working image not transparent in way. 100% opacity.  in fact, doesn't matter work with, every time try fill selection on layer in doc, error.  ideas???  thanks   scott probably see screen shot of photoshop layers panel open. at point guess can make wrong layer selected, once see screen, else may pop out @ me, or else reading thread. Why can't I change the billing info for my account?

hi all,   about 3 weeks ago issued new corporate cc number. have been trying since find way update in website. everytime try load billing info message 'there has been error on our side, please try again later.' has been happening weeks now. decided, if they're not going fix it, i'll call support.   i reported bug support, no response.   i called support , sat on hold update cc. hung on when should have been answered. happened twice (i'm persistent).   i registered call-back. got call-back, , told needed go person. got warm transfer because of above problem.   this person told me needed talk yet different team, , schedule call me in 1-2 hours.   it has been on week, maybe week , half since supposed receive call-back, , ticket updated yesterday; they've tried reach me no success (yeah, right), them do? left note: call me @ number within next 4 hours, , can settle this. guess got pacific time support team, because called 16 hours later (i'm gmt, way; company u...
