Thread: Oracle (Sun) Java 6 is no longer available


i understand oracle (sun) java 6 no longer available distributed ubuntu, because of license issues.


however, i'm taking classes @ university using ubuntu 10.04 open jdk , open jdk not doing job. i've reported problem university, don't care problem , i've been told use oracle (sun) java 6... :_(


there ppa can use load oracle (sun) java 6, , mean have remove open jdk? and, ubuntu have procedure documented somewhere configuring oracle (sun) java 6?
