Re-installation of Met Office Desktop Widget fails with the "installation file is damaged" message


vista home premium air version 3.7.0.2090 , latest version of met office widget installation file.

 

the log file is

[2013-06-27:13:52:43] application installer end exit code 7

 

however many times re download widget app same result.

 

the reason download previous installation started behave strangely downloading lot of stuff no apparent reason. have kaspersky internet security date , advanced system care. none of security programs report malware.

 

re-installation of windows out of question!!!

 

i have tried on forum no sucess - gratefully recieved. thanks

i have same issue, had issues downloading excessive data. uninstalled latest version of widget , latest version of adobe air. reinstalled them fresh...or tried too. met office widget failed yours did. log looks yours.

 

i contacted met office , got response:

 

thank email.

there known issue @ time met office desktop widget under investigation our team.

we hope have resolved shortly , apologise inconvenience may have caused you.

 

 

might have wait have no date fix yet!
