Thread: Telnet linux connects windows doesnt

have program running on ubuntu 11.10 64bit, listens clients on port 2468. can connect port telnet on local machine (with both localhost , ip). can connect port rhle 4.0 computer. however, when try establish connection windows xp machine on same network, command prompt clears , shows blinking cursor - connects none of "connected *.*.*.*" shows up. hit key connection drops , throws me c:\ prompt. did run netstat on ubuntu while windows in quasi connected state , netstat did indicate there established connection between ubuntu , windows.
can ping ubuntu box fine xp. have ufw disabled, , set apparmor profiles complain - none of made difference.

have tried telnet client putty? while putty commonly used ssh, supports telnet protocol.
standard microsoft telnet client seemed quite limited me.
