Thread: Shell Command to Identify Current Network


does know of shell command use identify network on?

let me explain i'm attempting do. i'm writing shell script backup data laptop linux box have set @ home. script setup cron job run every once in while. want script attempt perform backup when @ home i'm looking way make sure i'm on home network before backup begins.

i'm noob when comes shell scripting if i'm going wrong way happy corrected.

not @ using shell commands , cannot write shell scripts, have apologize if reply beside point.

using ifconfig or netstat?
