Thread: 11.10 Global Menu Came Back, And Wont Go Away???

the first thing did 11.10 install, remove unity, , replace customized cairo dock.

months ago, , has been working great.

today powered system, , global menu somehow returned?

of apps/windows still have own individual menu's, main global menu has somehow found way onto top of screen.

method used remove global menu was
code:
sudo apt-get remove appmenu-gtk3 appmenu-gtk appmenu-qt
i tried running again, , nothing.

says
code:
reading package lists... done building dependency tree reading state information... done package appmenu-gtk not installed, not removed package appmenu-gtk3 not installed, not removed package appmenu-qt not installed, not removed following packages automatically installed , no longer required: esound-common libesd0 libaudiofile0 wine1.2-gecko use 'apt-get autoremove' remove them. 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 remove , 1 not upgraded.
not sure why/how came back, can't rid of it.

attached screen-shots, if needs see menu bar talking about.

thoughts?

in advance.

removing not enough, purging might done. if remove (rename) .local folder, log out/in cleanly rebuilt , should fix issue.
