Thread: Dual Boot unable to boot XP

my desktop has xp on /dev/sda1, ubuntu 10.04 on /dev/sda2 , ubuntu 12.04 on /dev/sda6.

had repair grub , ended not being able boot xp. (can boot in ubuntu 10.04 , ubuntu 12.04).

when trying boot xp says: 'load needed dlls kernel'.
xp reinstallation dvd did fixboot. chickened out of doing fixmbr because of warning have nonstandard mbr , end not being able use partition.

way boot xp?

gparted lists /dev/sda1 shown in pic (mounted , unmounted)

here's article think,

may want windows mbr fix first. if possible important first!
before though please enter following command in terminal , past results here.
<grep menuentry /boot/grub/grub.cfg> (without brackets)

luck
