Error Flash Player Update service 11.6 r602 ... Bad file

i'm running on windows vista 32 ie9. (an old dell). first noticed problem when latest version of flash player updated. periodically windows show error flag saying flash player update service has stopped working...sometimes flag has interfered smooth functioning of programs have running; annoyance.

 

i asked last week , told try manual uninstall , check removal of files. here ran problem. first, steps. uninstaller did of work.

all of rest of files easy delete; except one. in c:/windows/system32/macromed/flash file 'flashplayerupdateservice.exe'  11.6 r602  version 11.6.602.180  ... refuses deleted !!! think source of problems. think supposed function fp ver. 11.6. , when updated version installed, left behind , can't deleted.

i checked permissions of file , user can read , execute file, nothing else. trying change permissions gets duplicate file can deleted. original file untouched.

i have tried admin delete it, no luck. tried "unlocker" program , can't find handle. offers delete on next reboot, file still there.

i tried go @ using dos commands , access denied. short of using .357 magnum; how kill file????

 

by way, went ahead , reinstalled latest fp , works fine... annoying flag keeps poping every , then.

 

p.s. i'm thinking starting computer in safemode or without windows (dos only) , see if let me delete way, i'm not sure can remember old dos command structure need.

an update: dos attempt did not work. (access denied) don't bother trying. program in use, though stopped working. figured out program somehow gets started win startup... used "glary utilities" in modules section... - system tools - process manager: stop process.  used in privacy & security tag - file shredder: erase file. ... came back...again.

 

so did clean uninstall after first (as administrator (right click on delete)) deleted file c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\ flashplayerupdateservice.exe  (version 11.6.602.180)  sure older file delete!

i followed steps , double checked , files called deleted. surprised me in step 5. found still copy of  offending file (same date) flashplayerupdateservice.exe (i deleted (as admin (right click on delete))). 

 

finally did new install going http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer , following process. note: if have weatherbug, shut down first before going installer. (otherwise have shut down anyway , install may not finish (took me 2 tries)) also, not close ie page until installer tells or may confused (it did on me first time).

 

i (hopefully) have problem corrected now.

 

note: after new install if use windows explorer & go c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash  , @ file flashplayerupdateservice.exe see has newer version.

"Could not fill because there are not enough opaque source pixels" - not solved by any other thread

i'm getting error posted in thread's title , have no idea why.  working image not transparent in way. 100% opacity.  in fact, doesn't matter work with, every time try fill selection on layer in doc, error.  ideas???  thanks   scott probably see screen shot of photoshop layers panel open. at point guess can make wrong layer selected, once see screen, else may pop out @ me, or else reading thread. Why can't I change the billing info for my account?

hi all,   about 3 weeks ago issued new corporate cc number. have been trying since find way update in website. everytime try load billing info message 'there has been error on our side, please try again later.' has been happening weeks now. decided, if they're not going fix it, i'll call support.   i reported bug support, no response.   i called support , sat on hold update cc. hung on when should have been answered. happened twice (i'm persistent).   i registered call-back. got call-back, , told needed go person. got warm transfer because of above problem.   this person told me needed talk yet different team, , schedule call me in 1-2 hours.   it has been on week, maybe week , half since supposed receive call-back, , ticket updated yesterday; they've tried reach me no success (yeah, right), them do? left note: call me @ number within next 4 hours, , can settle this. guess got pacific time support team, because called 16 hours later (i'm gmt, way; company u...
