mark, 1 of big issues composites getting perspective right - when compositing people scene. there used several steve caplin video tutorials available online, of them no longer available reason. can access them via video2brain subscription though.

we saw sneak peek of excellent new tool called perspective warp at year's adobe max

you don't need have tool learn it.
another other thing important, shadows, make things belong in scene. tend use 3 or 4 shaddow layers each composited object.
my favourite books around subject steve caplin
how cheat @ photoshop , 100% photoshop
matt kloskowski has excellent book called photoshop compositing secrets have last title on ipad, , while good, prefer steve caplin books. not mat kloskowski top of amazon photoshop book charts while, , may still know. not sure if book though.
