Subunit of time below a second in PE11?

hi folks,

i notice pe11 has unit of time below second, divided 30 parts.

i had assumed 1 use decimals if need subdivsions of second, such 4.5 seconds. timepoint of 2 hours, 3 minutes , 4 , ahalf seconds 2:03:04.5. or maybe 2 h 3' 4.5''.

but pe11 02;03;04;15

is quirk of pe, or there basis counting 30 subdivisions of second?

wikipedia says there "thirds" comes after "seconds", counts 60, seconds , minutes.

can shed light? if can help!

the timecode premiere elements can seen 00;00;00;00 (ntsc) representing hours; minutes; seconds; frames.

if working 30 frames per second system, 1 frame represented 00;00;00;01 , 1 frame eqvalilent 0.033 seconds.

it go 00;00;00;29 00;00;01;00.

if in pal setup, puncuation marks between : instead of ;

in case of 02;03;04;15, be

2 hours 3 minutes 4 second + 0.5 second

or

2 hours 3 minutes 4.5 seconds

please check out.

thanks.
