tried web search, didn't answer.
did could. i'm using on old laptop, has no hdd. ran memtest86(version1.4) , passed.
ubuntu , windows7 says, formated usb drive (flash voyager) fine...
can cause? erros?
cheers all!
i've heard of unetbootin create bootable os. made linux mint os bootable program on windows didn't use unetbootin. have not yet been able usb boot, directories there, grub , boot sector there. have other files on pen drive can dragged , dropped fine. can't explain why mine won't boot, i'm assuming old motherboards(or oldish) reason hate booting bios.
can't answer question, clarify others reading thread, please post make , model of computer or laptop trying boot pen drive to. luck, maybe else direct list files in directories, maybe more prone failure , can recognised reason reinstall os same program or different program again. things boot sector , grub more important how os boots , loads files user use programs, apps, etc. once os loads. if os load, things drivers etc. important want use , performance of os use programs, applications, sound, video acceleration, internet browser, codecs , plug ins need installed. sure know this. don't know code needs written in c in directories boot sector , grub. maybe if create grub script using boot repair, can upload script attachment in thread? well, doubt allow address issue, unless having other hard drive boot/grub issues hdd os loading other pen drive when starting computer. make sense?
btw, thing memtest passed. if had bsod, memtest should verify processor, ram, power supply, , mobo functioning correctly, , hdd @ fault. of course hdd isn't @ fault if can boot partition in recovery(terminal shell) mode. in case, it's interface not working
