Thread: How to access 'Users and Groups' ?


hello,
installed virtualbox on ubuntu 11.10 in order use windows , access using usb. hit known issue i.e. can't access usb inside virtualbox.
ubuntu documentation states fix have following: "add user group vboxusers,...."
first of can't find users , groups. see 'user accounts' in system settings. don't see vmboxusers group when run %groups command line.
anyway have add myself vmboxusers group in order use usb on virtualbox.
pls me that?

hi,

had same problem fresh install recently. answer open terminal window , type:

code:
sudo usermod -a -g vboxusers username
replace username username. had log out , in again changes take effect.
