How do I trim an object to only show up until the outline of the object behind it?
i have rounded rectangle , object on top of -- how make parts of object outside of rounded rectangle hidden? attached photo, helps. thank you! feel there's simple solution, i'm such newb

you may select both, pathfinder>divide, ungroup , delete outlying unnecessary part; or keep grouped , direct select part delete.
