Thread: Wireless connects, but doesn work (?),
hello.
use 12.04 beta on x220 thinkpad. if should post in ubuntu+1 forum, please tell me so. think network/wireless forum place start.
when try connect encrypted wireless network, seems work. can connect, ip-address , correct dns route , subnet mask, etc.
when open web browser, can't access site, not router. not dns-problem (i suppose) makes no difference whether enter url or ip-address.
tried nm-tool , got following output
sudo iwconfig results in:code:- device: wlan0 [mynetwork] ---------------------------------------------- type: 802.11 wifi driver: iwlwifi state: connected default: no hw address: 08:11:96:51:ea:58 capabilities: speed: 1 mb/s wireless properties wep encryption: yes wpa encryption: yes wpa2 encryption: yes
