Thread: Ubuntu installation issues


ok, have older hp dv6000 amd sempron upgraded processor amd athlon 64 , installed 2gb of ram. if of matters. anyway, it's ran fine windows 7 long time, decided try , wipe windows off , install ubuntu 11.10. have burning image dvd first , usb via usb loader on website. restarted , chose not run ubuntu along windows instead replace windows entirely. prompts me installation complete restarted , extremely slow far loading goes , prompts me log in , do. accepts , kind of freezes minute turns solid colorful screen wherever click turns black. doesn't show programs or real glitchy blank screen. have tryed multiple different times 32 bit , 64 bit , same thing happens. have dual booted windows before no problem, can't figure 1 out. ideas appreciated.

it may video/driver issue.
