Thread: accessing documents on HDD


hi

woke morning , windows 7 did not work (installed update yesterday , assume it's that...)

aside, have installed ubuntu using bootable usb, , need access coursework had saved through windows. have read others partitioning before installing, since didn't have working os @ time, haven't been able this.

need partition, if how this?

there way of accessing documents created/saved through windows via ubuntu?

please bear in mind windows not working (to extent need back-up docs , re-install (or remove!))

well, may ok, maybe not...

when installed ubuntu, how did it? live "install" ie running usb drive not written hard drive

or

installed alongside windows

or

installed using whole disk?

if run file manager in ubuntu pressing

you should see under "devices" file system windows partition. if "devices" not visible, select "view" "places".
