Thread: Optimal Synclient Settings? (Macbook, Ubuntu)

i've been tinkering ubuntu on macbook. believe it's late 2007 or 2008, kind of forget exactly. lately i've been tinkering synclient, has dramatically helped out way touchpad feels. now, don't care mimic "apple touchpad", want work half decently , support 2 finger scrolling. lately i've been using:

synclient fingerlow=10
synclient fingerhigh=20

it's better, bit clumsy yet. i'm curious if out there utilizes other settings might make bit smoother. insight?

fyi - i'm going throw 2 synclient commands .sh file , set run @ login.

here's awesome documentation arch's wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/touchpad_synaptics

i've used in past set 'osx lion-style' natural scrolling on netbooks , laptops.

have tweak instructions bit, arch installs of config files in different locations.

cheers dude.
