7/11, not 9/11

i had planned announce on 11th anniversary of joining these adobe forums (8/11), several things made me change 8/11 7/11. still, 11 years on adobe forums, more 20,000 posts , judging number of points gathered in years, not posts utter rubbish. of may have found 1 or 2 helpful.

but, luck never lasts lifetime, unless die young.

the same happened me. luck has run out. in no way comparable tragic loss of 9/11, no big deal, felt owed explain reasons.

i’m leaving forums. time goodbye…

my time on forums has been pleasant, , enjoyed sharing little know editing , hardware others, despite of perceived me arrogant know-it-all. well, can’t please everybody, if bearer of bad news, happened regularly on hardware forum.

 

but things come end eventually.

there 2 things in life: taxes , death.

some argue taxes worse, because have pay them every year, death happens once in lifetime.

well, brings me reason departure. adobe has levied new tax introduction of cc, cash cow model. not done in democratic process, single sided action , there no guarantee adobe tax rates not rise in near future. governments have done when needed money , stop adobe doing same thing? once on cash cow wagon hooked life. there no return.

 

as said, taxes worse death, because have pay taxes every year, instead of once in lifetime. luckily, there no legal obligation pay adobe taxes. refuse held hostage adobe, not voluntarily put on adobe tax hand-cuffs. jeez, hate taxes…

so, decided leave adobe. not rent. not submit taxes.

i offered them lump sum payment lifelong subscription of cc, authorities in tax-havens, no…

i’m not going cash cow route. no harm done. i’ll continue using cs6 or switch avid symphony or edius.

there 3 kinds of people:
1. make things happen,
2. watch things happen,
3. wonder happened.

the first category group make clear statement not pay adobe taxes, second category group have accepted cash cow model, possibly lured attractive first year pricing or lack of valid upgrade path, , third category majority of subscribers end after tax rates have been increased, inevitable.

 

my decision leave adobe have consequences ppbm benchmark test. can’t speak bill, no longer put effort developing cash cow version of benchmark, cs6 version, far i’m concerned, latest version. avid and/or edius may receive new benchmark never had.

 

i hope haven’t offended many people here.

mods: since posted in several forums, posted message in several forums well. double or triple posting. given increased sensitivity lately deviates adobe marketing hype, may want make announcement, rip if wish.

"Could not fill because there are not enough opaque source pixels" - not solved by any other thread

i'm getting error posted in thread's title , have no idea why.  working image not transparent in way. 100% opacity.  in fact, doesn't matter work with, every time try fill selection on layer in doc, error.  ideas???  thanks   scott probably see screen shot of photoshop layers panel open. at point guess can make wrong layer selected, once see screen, else may pop out @ me, or else reading thread. Why can't I change the billing info for my account?

hi all,   about 3 weeks ago issued new corporate cc number. have been trying since find way update in website. everytime try load billing info message 'there has been error on our side, please try again later.' has been happening weeks now. decided, if they're not going fix it, i'll call support.   i reported bug support, no response.   i called support , sat on hold update cc. hung on when should have been answered. happened twice (i'm persistent).   i registered call-back. got call-back, , told needed go person. got warm transfer because of above problem.   this person told me needed talk yet different team, , schedule call me in 1-2 hours.   it has been on week, maybe week , half since supposed receive call-back, , ticket updated yesterday; they've tried reach me no success (yeah, right), them do? left note: call me @ number within next 4 hours, , can settle this. guess got pacific time support team, because called 16 hours later (i'm gmt, way; company u...
