hi, ubuntu has stopped supporting sun-java because of licensing open-jdk being alternative. can still install sun-java using ppa:ferramroberto/java repository. version repo 1.6.0_26 insecure , blocked firefox in near future. manually installing latest sun version quite hassle , must re-done on every new security release. there options use update-manager/apt-get keep sun-java up-to-date? general opinion on this? hello, i'm thinking making web application stream live event visitors using rtmfp peer-assisted networking cirrus. i've read articles on rtmfp , have pretty idea how client flash applications exchange streams each other.   however, if there 1 publisher in group (and it's not user, it's computer have access to), publisher benefit using flash media encoder? used cirrus or better install adobe media server alongside long flash media encoder installed anyway?   thanks. i think flash media live encoder (fmle) can provide higher quality video encodings can h.264 encoder in flash player.  fmle speaks rtmp, need send adobe media server publish. i know question has been asked before not figure out solution.   i having bumper sticker printed in mass quantities , need urgent help.  sticker black with large white text.  problem started when exported ai file pdf , black came out gray.  exported jpeg , found same grey result.  after searching online found pure black not 100k, , seems mixture of cmyk colors.  adjusted colors make rich black blend , when saved jpeg  black displayed intended.  when exported same ai file pdf black still looks grey.  ideas whats going wrong pdf?  pdf print pure black though doesnt display way on screen?         what pdf preset using? smallest file size that.   if use pdfx or high quality print should good. open .pdf in illustrator comfirm.   if open in acrobat, may have turn on overprint preview.   you can use tools >> output preview confirm have other colors in black areas. i had problems photoshop premier elements 8 crashing.  uninstalled both elements , premier elements 8 , reinstalled them.  when try open either program receive message error code 1 on it.  can me problem? there number of possible causes of error. damaged files in application (often resulting interupted installation process), damaged files in os, damaged settings files, modified system settings, etc.   if uninstall , reinstall did not fix issue, try running software new user account see if helps isolate issue. hi,   prelude seems rename files if transcoding - when ingesting , keeping original format, files not renamed. hi, in serious need of , couldn't find answer anywhere. today, following problems simultaneously appeared in 11.10 system: – sound stopped working, seeing "dummy device" in sound settings – graphics acceleration not work more, i.e. using fallback 2d interface now – cannot use user accounts setting more, "unlock" button greyed out – machine not shut down or reboot, instead gets stuck somewhere after usual "pulseaudio" notice – update , software center not work more: clicking on "install" buttons not anything – log file viewer not show (literally) of these problems appeared @ same time, should connected. seems complex user rights issue, have no idea might or how tackle it. using autologin, in case of relevance. way, problem has short history: ran similar issue (just graphics , unlock button thing) after upgrading 11.10 earlier week. similar problems on forum suggested switching lightdm gdm , again. after did...

hi, installed lubuntu after trying out sabayon , regular ubuntu, both hardware. which, before go further, is: amd athlon 64 3200+ @ 2ghz 2gb ddr2 667mhz corsair ram 500w cooler master psu ati/amd hd radeon 3650 (agp) 512mb biostar mobo (eugh) anyway, title implies, firefox causes stuttering issues when playing music in audacious (ie slowdowns). doesn't make sense, because 2gb ram , 2ghz processor, you'd think lubuntu have no issues. had problem on sabayon , ubuntu (which far worse) - mind you, 1gb ram (i got replacement ram corsair previous 2gb defective). linux, not windows vista. there reports of people getting lubuntu working fine on piiis , 512mb of ram. actually, come think of it, vista works relatively fine on partition, slower like, windows isn't me. i've tried "lightweight" browsers such arora (which mess) , midori, i'm using type this. immensely, , using chromium helps (though there slight stuttering @ times...

whether i'm transforming object, editing widget or changing font size, undo won't work - grayed out in menu, no response when ctrl-z.   also having issues copy , paste, able them work right-click menu.   some serious slow processing issues despite 16gb of ram , 1.6ghz quad core processor on mac os.   all adds muckin workflow. btw, there's no delete function? serious selecting issues , more. hey guys, have firefox 10.0.2 (newest) both under ubuntu 11.10 partition , windows 7 functionality different.... basically, under windows 7, can go bookmarks dropdown, go half way down list (i have lot), click on 1 (dropdown closes), if reopen bookmark dropdown, goes in list. under ubuntu, displays bookmarks droptown top every time opened. has nobody else noticed , there way fix it? 80 views , body else noticed this?
