Does Illustrator CS6 have a similiar interactive transparency tool to CorelDraw's
just getting hang of illustrator after using coreldraw extensively many years. 1 of frustrating issues ommission of tool used use in corel. tool transparency gradient tool, drew big red box click on transparency tool in toolbox, click anywhere on red box, drag point (in direction) on box or outside , box contain transparency gradient. cannot find similar tool in illustrator, not without setting gradient, setting angle, changing second colour opaque, rather user un friendly , doesnt edit in 'real time'. tool brilliant creating blends (instead of using blend tool) , creating 3d type graphics or fonts had highlights. remember glass buttons used create?
surely latest version of illustrator can this? missing?
whatyou missing thattey different products.
what might read gradient annotator. allow drag gradient tool in direction , adjus things midway point , color , degree of transparency each color stop , allow add , remove color stops live , interactively desire.
reading files learn illustrrators features.
for instance can have more 1 fill object , can have more 1 gradient fill object , can use annotator on each of theose gradient fills separately , independent of other gradient fills.
what describes sounds convenient offer other possibilities?
illustraor not convenient other apps have powerful features, @ appearance panel learn multiple fills , effects.
btw creating trans[parent gradient think want control or opacity.
you can make gradient swatches , reuse them @ , anotator avaialable them well.
