Support for Magic Lantern .RAW files?
hey,
as of may or may not know, magic lantern (3rd party software canon dslrs) support raw video.
they store information in .raw files, no software supports other own.
people have created software such rawmagic or raw2dng conversion .raw files lots of .dng files.
there premiere pro plugin can import .raw files directly premiere, problem being can't access raw data.
i think can agree on how great media encoder chewing through bunch of footage, supporting codecs , formats out there.
so thought, possible have media encoder:
1) support .raw files magic lantern creates
a) launch adobe camera raw, can access raw data.
b) edit 1st frame different sequences
c) set framerate, format, codec ++
c) press play , enjoy cold coke.
if possible, opens way easier workflow being offered.
you have through after effects, program supports .dng sequences.
if not, great support .dng sequences.
so don't have bring them ae, make composition each shot, fixing framerate because somehow ae interprets sequences 30fps , not 23.976, adding render queue, , on. ae not batch friendly imo.
what people think?
is worth implementing?
this suggestion. likes should file feature request.
(ame not listed on form. until does, please make choice of premiere pro or after effects explicitly specify requested feature ame.)
to read .dng or form of camera raw files, ame need support adobe camera raw plug-in how ae does. not, noted it's feature request.

have set image sequence framerate preference in ae? go preferences > import change value.
also, can drag , drop items project panel in ae directly render queue. create comp each dragged item. here, can shift+select multiple output modules change om template of them. can change default om template via edit > templates. should save couple of steps.
ae not designed batch processing application per se, try make easy run jobs. if have lot of transcoding of these raw files do, may want consider using ae in render engine mode, possibly on second computer. scripting may helpful. more info here:
