Thread: Sony VAIO UX 390 small problems with ubuntu
hi guys,
wondering there other members here using sony vaio ux series runs on 10.04 ubuntu lts?
did able install 10.04 lts on sony vaio ux390 , runs fine. how fast boot , performance wise there few thing annoying stick pointer mouse seem random dragging files anywhere try move pointer build-in thumb mouse no problems external usb mouse.
seem problem "touchpad" driver , have done tried edit on "10-synaptics.conf" @ (/usr/lib/x11/xorg.conf.d) adding 3 (red colored) lines , nothing helps...
section "inputclass"
identifier "touchpad catchall"
matchistouch "on"
matchdevicepath "/dev/input/event*"
driver "synaptics"
option "tapbutton1 "0"
option "maxtaptime "0"
option "maxtapmove "0"
endsection
also, touchscreen works quiet nicely, uncalibrated , bit hard use stylus pen. how re-calibrate?
i'm new xubuntu user, having installed on old trusty sony ux-180p. you, having great difficulty using umpc when traveling. use thinkoutside bluetooth keyboard , mouse when working @ home, portability of ux-180p (one of greatest assets) lost due sensitive nature of finger-mouse button. if able find fix, i'd appreciate sharing.
