Backup Directory Missing

i merged 2 databases , renamed merged database.  renamed both ircat file , previews file.  database opens , displays correctly history displayed in develop module.  when close lightroom backup option,  backup directory not created.

i have lightroom 5 installed on windows 7 desktop computer.

how can correct problem?

how have verified backup directory not created? did lightroom go through process of backing up? if did, did in backup folder specified in backup dialog?

Markers not showing up after opening a saved project. Where did they go!?

my first time using prelude cs6 yesterday , had success ingesting, marking clips (into subclips, comments, etc.), saving marked movies, , them sending subclips premiere. dumped premiere expected.   however, morning started new project in premiere , planned on using same clips marked in prelude. wanted little more marking opened prelude project saved yesterday , movie files there none of subclips, comments, or other markers showing up.   the thing can think of did not rough cut in prelude, don't see why mean losing markers source footage.   am missing something? appreciated! thanks... -john i'd confirm steps: 1. ingest clips in pl add markers(subclip, comment, etc.) , save them. 2. create 1 new project in ppro , import same clips. 3. open project created @ step 1 in pl.   then @ step 2 , 3, found markers lost, right?   to locate issue quickly, if possible, share 1 of footage me? please reach me @ wyue@adobe.com . thanks. Photoshop javascript: Open files in all subfolders
