Thread: Help with Win7 Installer issue (driver not found)

hello,

first want i'm enjoying ubuntu 11.10, user friendly.
being said, i'm having issues reformatting hd.
installing win7 through dvd. installed ubuntu through usb, , have 1 spare usb drive can hold drivers, etc.

have 1 hard drive, @ time of virgin installation did not partition ubuntu 11.10 installed in boot drive, in ext4 system.
looking @ gparted:
/dev/sda
/dev/sda1 ext4 927.59gb
/dev/sda2 extended 3.92gb
/dev/sda5 linux-swap 3.92gb

basically... regret not partitioning (had trouble first install, got lazy , didn't try figure out how solve issues did straight install 0 partitions.

want create dualboot, installing win7 first ubuntu on separate partition. problem can see i'm having trouble getting win7 install. reading similar problems i've come across 2 main issues:
1. after booting win7 dvd, installer informs me not have proper dvd drivers, hardware asus 24b1st, i've grabbed firmware provided asus, came in form of asusdos.exe , asuswin.exe. placed these on clean usb drive , tried going through installation, windows installer not recognize these files proper drivers. installation cannot proceed further.

2. because failed partition properly, worry after solving driver issue (current issue) windows not recognize hdd format (ext4) , may not let me install. have not run problem yet since signs point occurring (only 1 partition, in ext4) may need here well...

ps.
tried "reinstall" ubuntu using same usb drive , creating right partitions way not give me "boot options"... if choose boot order flashdd loads "trial" os, doesn't give me installer options. (was trying test ram using mem86 came original "grub"?)

windows requires primary ntfs partition boot flag or active partition in windows.

can either have unallocated space (usually blank drive) available primary partitions, windows installer can create it, or create primary ntfs partition boot flag.

few have had issues primary partition after extended partition. windows happy sda1 or first partition. not sure if consistent issue or not. had reformat ntfs partition again installer when created in advance.

if let windows create partitions create 2. 1 100mb hidden boot/repair partition , main install other. if created in advance can install 1 partition.

"Could not fill because there are not enough opaque source pixels" - not solved by any other thread

i'm getting error posted in thread's title , have no idea why.  working image not transparent in way. 100% opacity.  in fact, doesn't matter work with, every time try fill selection on layer in doc, error.  ideas???  thanks   scott probably see screen shot of photoshop layers panel open. at point guess can make wrong layer selected, once see screen, else may pop out @ me, or else reading thread. Why can't I change the billing info for my account?

hi all,   about 3 weeks ago issued new corporate cc number. have been trying since find way update in website. everytime try load billing info message 'there has been error on our side, please try again later.' has been happening weeks now. decided, if they're not going fix it, i'll call support.   i reported bug support, no response.   i called support , sat on hold update cc. hung on when should have been answered. happened twice (i'm persistent).   i registered call-back. got call-back, , told needed go person. got warm transfer because of above problem.   this person told me needed talk yet different team, , schedule call me in 1-2 hours.   it has been on week, maybe week , half since supposed receive call-back, , ticket updated yesterday; they've tried reach me no success (yeah, right), them do? left note: call me @ number within next 4 hours, , can settle this. guess got pacific time support team, because called 16 hours later (i'm gmt, way; company u...
