Button Over problem

hello,

 

in flash animation have menus items intended change color when user rolls on them.

menu items classic text boxes made button symbol, in active state color white , roll on state color orange.

 

when roll on text shows orange state if mouse pointer on opaque pixel of text, while shows white state if, example, roll on hole of "o" character.

 

the same thing happens when roll on graphic button transparent portions.

 

is there way can trigger on state on whole clip area instead of on opaque portions only?
