Thread: VLC media player memory leak bug

hello,
started having problem while now. every , vlc freezes in middle , after whole system freezes till kill using power button since system totally dead. annoying since loose open applications , have restart them again.

decided write short script captures dmesg output every , them , got trace of happening when freezes. heres output.

sorry output looks messy..the formatted output in attached file.

found out vlc caused memory problem , had killed. worst part vlc in pause mode last half hour. haven't installed new libraries or have updated system. using 11.04 ubuntu. can suggest me now?
