Thread: Unmute audio after installing realtek drivers
dear pros!!!!
have installed realtek drivers lubuntu 11.10. there isnt audio.as audio choppy before, had install drivers. below readme file says

manual install:
step 1. unzip source code
tar xfvj alsa-driver-1.0.xx.tar.bz2
step 2. complied source code
a. cd alsa-driver-1.0.xx
b. ./configure --with-cards=hda-intel
c. make
d. make install
step 3. reboot machine
step 4. use alsamixer disable mute (all audio line default mute)
must compile , install alsa library , utility. (use automatic install install)
excute alsamixer
note: 1. detail information, can refer alsa-kernel/documenttation/alsa-configuration.txt in azx-021705.tar.bz2.
2. kernel version must 2.6 or later.
3. mixer channels muted default. must use native
or oss mixer program unmute appropriate channels.
4. if can not compile source code, try rename /usr/src/linux-2.x -> /usr/src/linux.
5. driver added support spdif functoin.
6. a. can download alsa-lib-1.0.x , alsa-utils-1.0.x form www.alsa-project.org, unzip , install them.
b. suggest use "alsamixer" control mixer function.
c. used "alsaconf" can autodetect drive need install (step 4).
7. suse distribution must install ncurses package.

although ive done automatic install ./install, couldnot alsamixer working. alsa output

so, here soundcard isnt recognised alsa.
can pls me out??
