Thread: Classic not present

nothing less gnome 2 interface work me.

delighted see "gnome classic in ubuntu 12.04: it’s nothing ever changed" @

http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2012/03/g...-ever-changed/

have "open ubuntu software centre , search ‘gnome-panel’, ..."

not there. wtf!?

never mind. "sudo apt-get install gnome-panel"
according to
http://ubuntublog.org/gnome-classic-ubuntu-12-04.htm

nope. package 'gnome-panel' has no installation candidate.

please tell me what's going on! thanks.

are using 12.04? if not, must install package gnome-session-fallback instead. if so, did try update repo? installs fine me on precise. (in precise pangolin, gnome-panel , gnome-session-fallback same package)
