Thread: Control nvidia GPU fan speeds


hi all,
i'm hoping maybe might in similar situation , can provide insight.

i'm utilizing 4 evga gtx580 superclocked cards in 100% headless ubuntu server 11.10 x64 environment use cuda i've been reading takes act of god able tweak fan speed settings within linux when x installed, , appears next impossible if you're in 100% headless environment.

have idea on how manually tweak fan speeds in way doesn't involve x?

i'm wondering if can applied debian/ubuntu style environment?

the way have managed connect gpu windows machine , flash it's bios custom settings.

have found impossible control fans using software under ubuntu.
