Thread: add-apt command missing in terminal

$sudo add-apt repository...
add-apt command not found

command has worked until , have no clue why it's gone or how back. tried sudo su, ran add-apt... still, command not found.

can install ppa's through update manager->settings->third party it's more convenient terminal.

suggestions minor yet highly annoying issue?

see thread: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/repositories/ubuntu

think correct command line order :

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:user/ppa-name

replace 'ppa:user/ppa-name' ppa's location noted above.
