Thread: Massive delay logging in and out, strange keyboard behaviour, crashes.
when logging in (by checking tty top running) 30 seconds @ least, init cpu intensive process on machine (at whopping 0%)
there no io, x shows display manager background, takes long time log in.
once logged in keyboard layout may (what have set to) or (international dead keys) default set to.
@ 1 time able switch between tty's alt+arrow keys (which caused problems graphical applications)
logging out makes screen go black long logging in, when display manager reappears account isn't shown in user list.
attempting log in via "other" option on dm stops responding.
backed , deleted .config directory, there no change.
logs suggest happening have large delay @ around same time, can't see caused it.
messages log found.
log example:
in short: it's not working , have no idea whycode:[ 22.946] (ii) xinput: adding extended input device "hp wmi hotkeys" (type: keyboard, id 12) [ 22.946] (**) option "xkb_rules" "evdev" [ 22.946] (**) option "xkb_model" "pc105" [ 22.946] (**) option "xkb_layout" "us" [ 22.946] (**) option "xkb_variant" "intl" [ 122.865] (ii) open acpi successful (/var/run/acpid.socket) [ 122.925] (ii) nvidia(0): setting mode "nvidia-auto-select"
edit: deal of packages "available upgrade" wouldn't upgrade without force, upgrading them seems have fixed problem (i'm guessing half of important got mismatched)
i'd still know caused (the alt+arrows thing strange) can stop in future.
