Captivate 6,7 Quiz property "Duration" in scorm manifest

please solve confusion. find description of quiz tracking duration property in captivate 6,7 ambiguous. track time student should spend in quiz/course, or track time do spend in quiz/course? or else?

my understanding standard scorm element duration counts time student spends in program, while description of field in captivate seems suggest course author set specific time, e.g., time expected take.

thanks in clarifying!

from (which may referencing):

duration (optional field): time required learners complete project. adobe captivate prepopulates field approximate value. however, if project ‘heavy’, example, if contains videos or animations, can revise value.

so seem latter, 'time expected take', though i'd take further , suggest may time required take user pass/complete course'. if that's intent, whether works or not surely dependant on lms support.

the 'standard scorm element duration' mention should counted lms default, though if lesson tracks should able override lms count. that's reporting, doesn't have direct relationship passing/completion requirements...unless can specify in lesson's properties in lms.
