LAB and Pantone+ CP conversion problems

when converting lab possible change default library pantone solid coated pantone+ color bridge coated?

example:

set new job using pantone+ color bridge coated. creates swatches "process color" in cmyk color mode.

client request have spot colors.

example: take "pantone 7408 cp" , rename "pantone 7408 c" change color type spot color , close window. reopen spot , change color mode book. have pantone solid coated.

client decides remove spot color add "p" in name , change color mode cmyk.

now break is;

c: 2.49%, m: 25.93%, y: 100%, k: 0%

not

c: 0%, m: 29%, y: 100%, k: 0%

this cause major problems on flexo press...

any ideas????

thanks,

doug

  1. open pantone+ coated solid book
  2. find 7408 c swatch, swatches flyout >> add swatches
  3. select 7408 c, shift select add colors (eg: 7408 cp) want change  7408c
  4. swatches flyout >> merge colors

or

before swatches flyout > spot colors >> use cmyk.... (not default cs6 lab)
