Thread: Ubuntu Samba Server and External Hard Drive


hello,
desktop has ubuntu 11.04 installed on it, along samba , ssh. goal able not use desktop's screen , control server samba , ssh. both samba , ssh work (i can control them both macbook pro). here's issue: able write files external hard drive have through network (through desktop). so: computer > network > desktop(server) > external hard drive. external hard drive connected through usb desktop. there way make (or find) directory put files , transfer them desktop? aka, how can access hard drive without gui?

tl;dr: how can access external hard drive (connected through usb) through terminal or navigating filesystem in samba?

edit: nevermind, found it. can't believe didn't there before else needs this, it's in /media/
