Thread: Previously Installed Software

hi everybody. planning upgrade 12.04 , intending fresh install once released. using fresh install ensure have nice clean new system doesn't include errors have made on way in 11.10. of course mean complete re-install of apps running want keep , prepared this...but came across post :

http://ubuntuguide.net/reinstall-all...ubuntu-install

, wanted ask if has had experience method , if safe or reliable do. have tested method point of 'saving markings' external drive looking @ contents of saved file, sure everything has been copied including system installations. mean conflict between version installations if tried re-install software using method?

comments welcome.

it has worked me. however, use common sense-if requires whole of kde, or wants remove unity, may not idea.

luck 12.04, shaping nice release.
