Thread: Toggling between Dvorak and Qwerty with keyboard shortcuts

ok, i'm running 'awesome' window manager , it's keyboard shortcuts.

i've got xbindkeys mapping keyboard shortcuts arbitrary terminal commands. i've used qwerty life , want give dvorak whirl. guess questions, in brief are:

1) there terminal command can use switch between dvorak , qwerty recognition (i'm on laptop, it'll on same keyboard -- not sure if that's factor).

2) switching qwerty going mess keyboard shortcuts exist in awesome, and/or ones i've configured xbindkeys? assume that, instance, if have "control + s" mapped in xbindkeys on qwerty keyboard, , switch dvorak recognition, i'd have press "control + k" on qwerty keyboard (since that's s key on dvorak keyboard) call shortcut, , "control + n" minimize windows in awesome become "control + l" want sure.
