in small network can ping every computer using ip address, 1 working name. have recovered crashing internet while trying fix it. please help. jim do have dns set in lan? if not, have entered each hostname it's corresponding address in hosts file? ever able ping lan hosts hostname? when have pdf document, want save desktop, click on save as, click on desktop along left in save screen.  computer tells me invalid location.  not saving desktop.  saving folder not exist.  can help? try adjusting layout in save dialog see if can save desktop. well, these awkward!..i had tried install google chrome in kubuntu, , these happen next. tell there many bugs , muon package installer keep crasing , sometimes, when 'dumb bugs' appears, screen turn black few second. come normal windows later on 'origin' kubuntu effect (fade out, fade in, scrool option style, blueish ligh behind windows) gone away , seems im using old 'caveman' personal computer after that. annoying! have been reinstall these os many many time because of these stupid bugs , other dumb crap happen in these os!...even watching tube, turn jammed , jammed forever , make me pull of power plug , there solved jammed probs. keeps happen in time...even week have estimate reinstall these os more 7 or 8 times!!..i freakin hates this!!!..these problem had less ubuntu before, stupid netbook strenght cannot handle awesomeness. buntugenius here, please me fellas!..before buy windows xp service pack 3...help? ...
