i've had have disc drive replaced since installing ubuntu on dell studio 15 laptop, , computer won't read dics (audio cd, dvd, data disc, etc). can insert them fine, computer rigesters them alert pops reading "unable mount audio disc (or dvd, or data disc etc): location not mountable." i've tried installing find regarding disc readers software center, problem persists. disc drive worked fine before had replaces, doesn't seem connecting operating system. have ideas on how resolve problem without going through dell's costumer service or other outside repair services? i have rh 10.  applied patch generate output files ie 10.  links index key words assigned more 1 topic not display correctly me in ie 10.... in above image, "account class" has 2 linked topics.  gray box displaying topics no longer has border had in ie 8, font size larger previously, text of both topics truncated on right, , part of second topic visible.  image below shows same info in ie 8 compatibility mode. similar issues occur if more 2 topics exist.  has else run this?  there resolution it?  thanks!   tim sorry, tim - don't have answer.  question possibly related - webhelp index in ie 10 robohelp 10.  so, i'm "piggy-backing" here on thread, , both answers.  actually, it's possible maybe solution both our answers.   when launch rh10-generated webhelp in ie 10 browser, prompted ie whether "accept blocked content", because ie retricting web page running scripts or activex controls.  i'm assuming scripts , activex contr...

i new linux , installed ubuntu 10.04 based on vmware virtual machine @ windows xp. when open ubuntu, left-clicking places->desktop, can see windows xp hard disk partitions , folds , files in them, today cannot. besides, installed shared fold based on vmware tool. can see shared files. today when logging windows xp, copied files , folds shared files, these new-copied files , folds cannot seen in shared fold when logged virtual ubuntu. appreciated. in advance. that's weird, if created shared folder, should able see it. don't know putting files in shared folder? how access files anyway? don't know why work before , not know if configured correctly. common trouble shooting issue fixing virtual machine issues, go site of provider downloaded virtual machine from, guest additions or extensions install. luck man Forum The Ubuntu Forum Community Ubuntu Of...
